I'm young - why should I worry about skin cancer or aging?

Sun damage accumulates in the skin over time (starting when you are a child). Various studies show that a large percent of the damage occurs before age 18, and a significant portion occurs in an individual’s 20s and 30s. Sometimes the body gets overwhelmed after the damage manifests, and that’s when skin cancer occurs. We cannot say for certain which type is caused from which burns and at which age specifically, but wearing SPF every. single. day. is definitely preventative, and a habit that you want to adopt as early as possible. After all, 90% of the signs of aging- aka those things we dont love about our skin- comes from the sun!
